Exclamation 90k miles on a 2000 230SLK.

I am probably going to buy this week a 230SLK. It has 90,000 miles on it and being new to these vehicles I was wondering if thats too many miles to be spending about $10,500 for. I love the body style and excellent gas mileage. It is bright silver with the two tone charcoal and oyster interior. There is another one that I am looking at and it is silver but red and black int. with a tv and vcr with excellent glossy paint with no dings and perfect interior. This 230SLK has 81,000 miles but a 1998 for the same price. Any suggestions with these 230SLK's would surely be appreciated. thanks Greg!

Welcome Greg. I checked the NADA guide and a 90k SLK230 runs:

Low retail: $11,775
Clean retail: $13,700
High retail: $14,850

These are prices in the 20202 zip code.

I'd avoid cars that have been modified.

Take your time. Look around and find a lower miles SLK.

I just turned 40k on my 2000 model yesterday. Wife and I took a 600 mile trip to see the kid in college. SLK drives like a dream.

You can find low miles on the SLK's, just keep looking.

I don't know your budget ...but I would be looking for something with a lot less miles...

it's very clean! Black with 2 tone black and beige int! with tax and temp tags out the door. is $10,000.00 230slk ACTUALLY HAS A MANUAL 5 SPEED. Are the manuals noted to be good trannys or junk. the SLK has 104,000 miles but it shifts good with no slippage. I would think it has had a new clutch put in!! Thanks for the feedback, and hope someone knows about the manual tranny.
