SLK 230 Motor oil and oil filter

I was kinda curious what oil weight does my SLK uses the manual wasn't a big help they told me the oil compacity but no oil weight unless i'm not looking in the right spot? I was also wondering where can I find a oil filter for my SLK is there any specific brand that I should use?

I use 10/30 mobile one synthetic, any auto parts store will have a filter. Buy a brand name though. Welcome to the forum.

I use Mobil One as well, but in 5W20, and I just got a K&N oil filter. Haven't installed/changed oil yet, but I was using OEM from the dealer before.

My brother was using Mobile One 0w40 during the summer but I'm doing an oil change in 2700 miles with Mobile One 10w30. I'm going with DesignoSLK and use a K&N oil filter.

Could I use Amsoil 5w40 that is formulated for European cars?
