| Hi All. Bit of a funny one this, haven't operated the roof for a few weeks, and come to do it today and the roof will not move at all. When you operate the switch not a thing happens. No noise from the hydraulics, no red light (flashing or otherwise) on the switch either. Also the normal double click of the switch in either direction to make both windows go up or down in unison, doesn't work. To me it is either a relay, fuse or (most likely I think) the interior switch itself. I cannot find the relay or the fuse, so as yet haven't checked them. The roof operated flawlessly until I tried it today. Don't think it is a mechanical problem, as there is no sounds no lights, nothing. I don't know if this is related either, but bizarrely, the indicators don't appear to be operating as normal either. They seem to flash quicker, almost like a bulb is gone, but they are all working. I might be going mad on that point, but it is strange I notice both these things at the same time. All other electrics etc are working perfectly. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas or things to try/tips re the roof problem, I am eager to hear them. Thanks in advance all, Dan. |

| You will need to run it through diagnostics to see what's the matter.I was tempted to ask whether your battery was in a good state ,since the car will not allow for certain operations if it is not sure on whether there is enough current to do so. I presume you have tried recycling the boot separator in the open/closed positions just in case... |

| Hi. Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I tried the seperator but that didn't change anything. Mind you if you do forget to pull the seperator in the boot out, then the switch normally flashes at you and nothing happens. The switch doesn't flash now. Will the battery being a bit ropey stop the roof from working even when the engine is running? I think it is the original battery and the car is now 5 years old, so maybe that is it? Any more pointers before she goes to the shop tonight will be welcome. Cheers, Dan. |

| Hi. Thanks for your input. So this water problem, can you please elaborate? ![]() I checked the things I have read about, namely the pump and the module in the boot and both are dry as a bone. The car has been parked outside in all weathers since I bought it a year and a half ago, and the roof has operated flawlessly until between now and 3 weeks ago. Is there any where else I should be checking re water ingress? Cheers. |

| **** electrical problems .... The fuse and relay boxes should be on the left side looking forward toward the fire wall and the covers should point to the fuse / relay. I believe the owners manual will point out the locations and positions. Edit, You used the word boot, so the fuse and relay box may be on the other side.... Edit, one of the smilies is so offensive that it turned into **** |

| Hi all. Turns out it WAs a fuse, but I checked all the ones in the 2 fuse boxes listed in the manual and drew a blank as they were all intact. Guy at the garage says that it may have been an inline fuse that isn't in the fuse boxes, but I will speak to the tech tonight when I pick her up and see what they story is. Main thing is though, it is sorted!! Have to find out why they think the fuse went in the first place. Cheers. |

| Hi All. Turns out it was fuse no 7! It is only a 5A fuse and strangely it hadn't gone in the usual place, so at a glance, it looked intact. Very bizarre, but I am happy it is fixed. Any one any clues as to why that fuse may have gone in the first place? Cheers, Dan. |

| Probably an old fuse, I'd be concerned only if it happens again on the same fuse.

| Hi cal Welcome here. Does the warning light flash - if so it's not the relay..... The relay sits on a circuit board in the black box next to the battery. There is a history with bad contact, burned contact points. Flashrelay is the third from left ( open one)
