| I want to paint my CYLINDER HEAD, Engine cover to match my car. Right now it is Red and Gray. I was thinking the red would be black and the gray will be per.Has anyone here painted their motor or had it done? Any advise of paints to use? I am going to have it sand blasted before re-painting it. Thanks! SLKman

| Just need some high temp paint. See products like VHT Paint striper, sand it, degrease, wash, dry then paint.

| Once the cylinder covers off it makes good sense to replace as much as possible and head gaskets being prone to failure on the 230 i thought it might be worth it. Do as much as possible when its in bits you know
