In the light, they look cute, cute, cute! In the dark, they make it look like it's a French car. Still cute, but with a bit of a lot going on.

Eliminating the little top circle woudl make them look a lot meaner, I think.

I'll have to reserve my judgement until I see it in the flesh, as pictures can be misleading without seeing it in the proper depth.

Yeah - the 'little top circle (City Lights) will not be connected on my ride... Too busy methinks...

im not a fan of angel eyes....as they are very 'boy racer' over here now.
but i do like the dar headlights there...and i think the dark ones would great no slkmans motor

I saw a new BMW behind me today. It had the "halo" or "angel eye" circle on the inside light on each side. It also had the "black tab" as you stated located at the 12 o'clock position. Maybe, they all do. Can't say I like it, but it looks different.

Well I installed mine last night and I love the look... I wish the 'halo' was brighter though... but even with the lights off it look FAR more aggressive...

Chrome, I could have bought my angels from US on UK ebay for £130 ($260). I'll be putting in mine the weekend - i'll put some photo's up.

Thanks for the tip on the seller. I've been looking on ebay for other items, but not really sure who to buy from. I would like to change the parking lights to clear lens with chrome bulbs, but not sure who to buy from. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, does anyone sell clear fog lights for the R170?

now get a set of 17" wheels , lower on springs, and ditch the front number plate altogether and u wud have one seriously nice r170.white is lovely looking!

I'm going with 18" rims... not lowering... and installing an authentic German front plate from Wurzburg (where I used to live)

Tires are a MUST right now so that is probably all I will get this year from Santa.

Hi all,

I have a silver R170 (paint 744) and have just about convinced myself to get a set of angel eyes. Just for the pose really, as I lay up the car for the winter.

What views do you have on the colour that would look best...silver or black? I have a brabus bodykit and SL 18" wheels, so it looks a bit aggressive, but not OTT.

Would welcome opinions.
