there is a whining noise from the back which i guessed was the fuel pump. i ignored it for 10k miles until i started having acceleration problems starting from zero. but when already driving above 5-10 mph there is no problem with the acceleration. i can do 90mph on the highway and there will be no issues. but as soon as i stop at a red light it will take the engine 5-6 full seconds to move the car (!). but it happens random maybe every other day.
anyways - i bought a fuel pump since it looks like a simple part BUT i cant find anywhere a do it yourself manual.
does anyone know where to get a manual ? heynes dont make them for the SLK.
or if anyone know how to do that in a few step would be great help.
(offcourse it could be something else, like spark plugs? or else? i am not sure, not expert or close to it. just handy with tools and dont want to pay $1200 to replace the fuel pump, or $250 for full car diagnostics)
