If you do this twice, all 4 windows are open. The same way back, all are closed.

| I found this out yesterday... When raising my top, I wanted my windows down after the top was up. So as the top was going up, I pressed my window button down till it clicked into the auto down mode. (you know, you can press your window button farther than normal and let go and the window will continue to lower by itself) After the top was up and the windows raised to close as normal...the windows then lowered again. | Your SLK should have a mechanism which prevents rolling backwards when you come to a stop on a steep uphill slope. My driveway is very steep and has a slow opening gate; my previous E320 and my current SLK230 both have this...no need to hold the brake pedal down to stay put. |

Pull the red roof button fast twice and hold the button with the second time down, all 4 windows (the small too) will open. I drove a 230K before. Try it. And if it works I get a "nude square" okay?

| This is some cool info, but I have a question. Who's figured out how to have all 4 windows up when the top is down? |

I couldn't get all 4 windows to come down though without having the top want to start lowering.

| Was there a way to do this with one of the room modules? maybe the latest smart roof module? I vaguely recall reading that somewhere. -J |

With the R171, with the roof up, two quick clicks on the roof switch in the center console will bring all 4 windows (2 main and 2 rear quarter) down. With the roof retracted, only the main windows can be brought to the up position but not the rear quarter windows.

I guess you would press the roof switch twice to lower all windows, then use the front window switches on the doors to raise the front windows, and in theory this should leave the rear windows down...might be useful for venting the vehicle in hot weather or when driving through a dodgy area ![]() Could someone try this?, and I mean the proceedure, not driving through a dodgy area ![]()

| (R170) Notice that after driving at night with your headlights ON, and when you park and get out of the car, click your remote to lock the doors, the driving lights and brake lights remain ON for a few seconds, then automatically shut off... maybe for safety.. assuming you are parking your car in a dark place, so the lights are there to guide you till you reach your doorstep... something like that. Is there a way to disable this feature? |

| (R170) The factory AM radio tuner tunes in increments of 10 Khz, which is I think, standard for the US. I imported a US version into the Philippines (Asia), where AM radio stations use increments of 9 Khz. How do I change the radio tuning increments? I've had some previous blaupunkt stereo head units that have some secret button to do this.. you press 2 buttons at the same time for 10 seconds... something like that. Is there something like this for the factory radio of the r170? |
