Hitting the north coast of the Olympics I realised I'd completed the PCH/101 run from san diego and really didn't want to turn right as I knew Seattle wasn't too far.

Still as I did that thought didn't last too long as the great places kept on coming.

crescent lake.

Bainbridge island was my last port of call so to speak, I spent some time at a friends place here.

Then I drove the SLK down to the ferry port and onto the boat for a 20 mins ride into the great city of Seattle.

Last time I was here 7 years ago it probably would have been a long shot to guess i'd be ariving by ferry after a 12 week epic trip next time I came.

I really hope people have enjoyed the images, if they could inspire anyone to take a trip anywhere that would make me happy. Thanks for all the great comments and tips along the way.

Easty.

At the moment, I am scanning into the computer photos I took on a walking safari in Africa in 1971. I am disappointed that the camera I had at the time was not better (and it was a very good one in its time). I am glad you will have such great pictures of your journeys.

I particularly liked that one of Crescent Lake. Looks like one MB could use for promotion...

I always thought the coastline from Northern California and North was more spectacular than from there South. Very nice pictures of the coast.

your right, I've not had the camera too long and it is quite a thing to lug round some times. I'm so glad I invested the in it though when I look back at some of the albums. Also really depicts amazing places to people who don't have the chance to visit for their self.

WOW, beautiful scenery and area. I've never been to the Pacific Northwest area, but I've been to Georgia. Sad to say you won't find anything as spectacular as that on the Georgia coast. Brian, if you have ANY remorse, you can be back there in less than 48 hours!

I started taking video back in 1981. Went hiking in the Colorado Rockies amongst many other places. When I started the RECORDER weighed 14 pounds. I strapped it to my back. And the camera was HUGE back then. And I carried a spare battery, another 5 pounds.

Oh, that reminds me, those videos are another thing I want to convert to digital...

I don't think the digital still camera is too bad to lug
