| Hey guys, I am going to settle for the Digi Tec ecu upgrade first of all because they do me the programming in the same day like If I drop the SLK at 9am I get it at 3:00pm afternoon. They told me I gain 20hp and the Vmax is now de-limited, At first I accepted the thought of getting an additional 20hp but I assumed If I was going to gain 10-13hp max. I am going to call them this week to set a date where I can bring my SLK to have it programmed.

| Sounds good mate i am sure you will notice some difference power curve wise but its not going to get 20hp your in fact i think the 10 that you expect is on the high side. Its always the same with NA engines you can add as much fuel as you like but without the extra air all your gonna do it kill the performance. Not having a dig at you here at all mate and as i say i am sure you will notice the difference but don't expect too much.

| All these rediculous HP/TQ gains from chip on NA cars needs to be put to rest. What do they base their figures on? Do they even have a dyno? If they do, you definitely have to take one before and one after. If they don't, at least take it somewhere else, we do have a few baseline dynos to compare it to. When I get my upgrades in the next 2-3 month I will definitely do a before/after dyno to see if I got my money's worth. |

I think the difference is more with the power delivery i find that a good tuner can make it much smoother not the harsh setup most cars arrive as with stock programming alroumi are they going to re program the TCU while they are at it no point in modding the engine i the transmission is going to be left alone.

| Its just an ecu upgrade, I am looking forward to pick up my car today, I want to see if Its power delivery is more aggressive after the chip and my Airfilters my next set up will most probably be the Super Sprint Catalytic converters + X pipe to remove the centre muffler which Would give my car the stealthy look. I am just waiting for Supersprint to release there products for my car

| Got the car at 9:20 pm today, and what can I say: My SLK55 feels faster between shifts and it rev's more freely It definetly feels nimbler and lighter and has a more aggressive throttle response without the lag from downshifts etc; They claim the VMAX is raised to 300kmh which is more than enough

| My next modifications are the Supersprint X pipe which replaces the centre muffler and 2 Super sprint sports catalytic converters , I am going for the Stealthy look without anyone knowing Ive changed the Exhaust system, In which I would still have the AMG rear Silencers. I might get the Supersprint headers when they get released, I am just waiting for them to be available.
