Default Finally, I got my ECU tuned and back from Germany...

So...
It is back, and installed in the car...
I was driving my car only in the city today, so I couldn't really push it and feel the difference.
But, I have to say that I maybe do feel some difference, like car is little bit more alive, for example, when I am in 3rd gear, it really responds faster on the throttle.
I just wonder one more thing...
As I have 6 gear manual, is it possible that I have some mechanic limiter of my Vmax. I haven't yet tried it, but I will this weekend. But, as my 250 (260 on tacho) is on cca 5950 RPM, and engine Rev limiter is on 6200 RPM, I wonder if my car will go up (as Vmax limiter is removed on ECU) to those RPMs, or is it possible that is is limited mechanically?
DansSlk, you could be the one who would know the answer...

Thanx

Its all electrical if the limiter was taken off the car will run to the rev limiter.

Thats good news Suza, that was one quick week and it flew by really quickly didn't feel the last 7 days passed by quickly.

Suza, I am glad you like it and now treat yourself to the Green filters for added performance and a MB sports airbox for more torque and enjoy your more powerful car.

Guys, thank you for your answers...
I will try to reach my Vmax this weekend so will inform you...
About those filters...I installed K&N just one day before I got my car to the tuning house...
I am really satisfied with those, it feels like car is breathing easier, and the sound is nice too...
So I do have filters (not green but K&N) and ECU.
And one more thing, for DansSlk maybe again...
Is it possible that fuel consumption (measured by board computer) is better than before remapping the ECU??
Fuel consumption before was 17-18 liters/100 km, when I was pushing hard.
I think that with today driving, it would be around that.
But today, with new ECU, it was 14,9 liters/100 km...
Is it possible? Actually, my SLK is 2004, November (in Europe, we could have bought it in 2004), and is it posible that those first models had bad software in ECU (new one, not developed enough)? So maybe now, when they put new, remapped ECU, maybe fuel consumption will be less?
Actually, what is average fuel consumption od SLK 350, 2006, 2007...when pushing hard...??

My SLK350 from December'07 has a fuel consumption of 14-15 liters/100 km when I push really hard on the open road -not circuit-: mountain road, second/third/fourth gear. Minimum seen is 9 liters, and around 11/12 liters in town traffic.

Its possible if the car was running old software.
