| Dan or anyone else with access to MB parts, There's a MB forum member that had recent problems with his paddle shift levers. Now, hopefully it is a quick easy fix and the issue will not reappear. Anyways, I asked him/her to get info. Yogibear458 sent these pics. Can you identify if the part(s) can be order and the cost? Thanks, dsb |

| Hi mate, The part is the paddle shifter itself you can see the paddle and then the contact switch behind it the PN is the bit after the AMG A something. Technically you can go to your dealer and order that part yes but you might find it incompatible with your steering wheel you can see how the assembly is removable and the opening is left in the wheel but on the button shifters the button is fully integrated the button uses a pin built into the wheel to hinge it. I think easty was going to take his wheel apart and have a look see inside and see what can be done i will try and order this part in the morning and see what happens

| Dan, Thanks for the follow up! Easty, I'll wait for you to determine if it's easy or not. I know you don't like working on your car in 100+ weather. I sure don't like working on my car when one leg is in a sling! |

| I spoke to AMG in Germany about having the buttons changed for paddles and they came back with the following response:- we just fit this paddels in our workshop, because there is no mounting guidelines. We don´t sell this for the accessories market. With best regards Frank Meister Key Account Management Mercedes-AMG GmbH W601 - MS Daimlerstr. 1 71563 Affalterbach/Germany www.mercedes-amg.com |

| Thats weird mate because of you look at the performance studio they do sell them for the accessories market and i have a dealer list to prove it. If you go hunting around the AMG site to find the performance studio then download the price list you will find them on there.

| i sent the email to dealer and this is their reply...-_- The paddle shifters for these cars are a factory option only. There is no possible way to add this option to your vehicle. Sorry for the inconvenience, James Butcher Parts Advisor Euro Motorcars Germantown 301-601-5500 |
