If you update your location, members from your area may be able to suggest something. You'll need to use an AUX ANT in the rear bumper if you want to continue with the SL antenna. Check out posts by Zeiser50 (Michel).

I'm not an expert nor have experience on engine mods for the 55, hopefully other members will chime in.

One simple mod is to change the OEM air filters to Green Air Filters, this will improve the hp and torque slightly as well as improve the fuel economy. Link: http://www.slkworld.com/general-disc...ut-inside.html

Check this site for performance mods (under build your own) http://www.gmbhmotorsports.com/index.cfm

For performance then air filters are a good and cheap mod.

For bigger results then think about exhaust cat's and headers.

Also camshafts are good mod.

I've had good results with the r170 short stubby antenna, some members say the reception is bad, I used the radio a lot and can't tell the difference, only problem is if you have the roof module the key fob distance is bad, but that doesn't bother me.

Plenty of mods for the SLK55, much more than the SLK350. Bolt on mods are very expensive and give very little hp gain. The best value for the money is a supercharger, not cheap but if you add all the bolt-on parts, it's half of the supercharger with little gain.

Check out B55's Brabus mods. http://www.slkworld.com/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=26

jliu has renntech supercharger, maybe give him a PM

addictedtospeed has the Kleemann supercharger, several others have the Kleemann SC on mbworld.org

Good luck.
