Default Spark Plug Wires - Magnecor

I was just curious if anyone has had any experience with either this brand of wire (Magnecor Race Wires)http://www.magnecor.com/magnecor1/main.htm

and if they are worth the investment or not.

No can't say i have but i do know you will need them to custom make you a wire set cause MB use a weird shaped connector to the coils.

Plugs, caps, leads or coils either work or they don't. If they work, you've got to look elsewhere for more performance. If they don't, they can spoil your day.

There was a big discussion over at GT-R board about benefits of wires like that. IIRC, the wires are supposed to stabilize the electricity flowing into the spark plugs and thus cause more clear burn by creating better spark with better timing or such (same thing with grounding wires).

Not sure if it's true or not, but the consensus was that it was a waste of time and money unless you were going for the looks (most people get same colored wires to match after painting the engine bay). Also all mags I read which tested the wires reported 1-2 HP gain at the most - which can be attributed to anything (fuel, air, temp, etc) on the dyno.

In short, IMHO, it's a waste - spend your money somewhere else.
