Chats: 0 | I do not want to spend £1000 on a steering wheel (which they say i cannot return as it is a special order item) if i cannot swap it over. Has anyone actually swapped there's? |

Chats: 28 | OK mate have checked the WIS and EPC all the gear behind the wheel to connect it to the rest of the car is identical, the floor shift unit that they mentioned to you is also identical so the wheel will connect to the car and the multi-function buttons will work so will the paddles. The airbag does have a 06MY tag on it but i have checked with the 07 demo VIN and the system gives the the option of what bag i want, i think it will fit into the new wheel fine personally.

Chats: 0 | The only other one i wondered about was A 171 460 45 03 9E37 as it is a 2005 wheel with the paddles but it is not the proper AMG one |

Chats: 0 | I'll get one of the 2007 wheels and give it a go, at least we will all know then. Presumably at the worst i would have to buy a new airbag as well? Guess it will make a nice ornament on my shelf if it wont work! |

Chats: 0 | Just a quick bit of help if you can. I have got the new steering wheel and am trying to fit it. I have removed the 2 screws on the back of the steering wheel which releases the airbag but how do i unplug the airbag. Is it the one connector that plugs into the car or the 3 connectors on the other end of the cable that plug into the airbag. I am presuming i need to unplug the end of the cable that goes into the car rather than at the airbag end but how do i get the connector off (does it just pull?) |
