Default slk 350 supercharger.

Just becuase im bored, i was doing a little surfing and seeing if anyone made a supercharger for the 350.

I dont think so, but does anyone know of one!?

Also it makes me think, like the R170's they just took the big v6 engine in the lineup, threw on a supercharger and some other stuff and called it AMG.

If they did that with the 350, it would have more stock hp potentially (or around the same), better gas mileage, and no gas guzzler tax.

Confuzzled.

Anyway, anyone know of one?

sweet so like almost 11g. The difference between my car and an AMG when new.

But hey i guess it wouldnt be bad if you had done or like your car so much but it was time for the amg. Would be a bad butt sleeper. And decent gas mileage.

O by the way, I love your lotus, how did you get it to 300hp? that must do 0-60 in like 2 secs. so light.

Could you post a link to where i can see the purchase price and such?
And pm me pics of your car!

11,000$ + 2,000$ installation and you're looking at ~13,000$ out the door. I think this kompressor is definitely worth it if you want close to 55 performance with a manual transmission. I have a pdf file from kleemann with all the prices, I'll send it to you via email if you want.

As far as the lotus elise, it has about 20,000$ in performance upgrades, including forcedfed 275 turbo kit, catless 3'' exhaust, unichip computer, etc. Here's a couple of shots:

No problem, whats your email? Stock it does 0-60 in about 4.9 and mid 13's in the 1/4. Turbo'd, they do 0-60 in about 3.9 and low 12's in the 1/4. I decided to remove the elise pics and make a seperate thread about the car instead of semi-hijacking this one

That's news to me, I checked late last year and they didn't have one out yet, they said they were testing it and not ready for production. I checked earlier this year and they said it's still not ready? Are you sure it's not for the r170?

Anyway, I think it's going to be ~$15K installed, not exactly a bargain.

ya i did some more in depth kleeman lookin and I cant find it. you may be lookin at the 320.

Which brings up my original question, of debating the AMG being a 3.5 Supercharged v6, instead of the 8. I mean either or is awesome, but if they followed tradition, they would of went with a supercharged v6

Here is what the 2006 kleemann price list says:
S1 Kompressor ECU "V6 M122 naturally aspired 240, 280, 320, 350 models" 9,400 euro

Kleemann kompressor for SLK55 is 16,000$ installed, I think it should be cheaper for V6

Thanks, might look into it sometime this summer, Kleemann headquarter is only an hour away, I've called them a few times and they say they don't have one for the 350 yet. My MB dealer is an authorized Kleemann dealer, I also asked them and they said it'll be $18K installed and comes with the remaining 4yr/50,000 warranty.

My MB dealer said they will cover it for the remaining 4yr/50K warranty but if warranty is less than a year left than they'll give you a year, similiar to what Kleemann gives you. I would not trust my dealer to do the install, I rather head south and have Kleemann do it.

Addicted2speed,

thanks for sharing the price list of Kleemann in your "My Vision of a Perfect SLK55" thread.

But the 350 mentioned in the list is an old SL engine. It is the same type of block (M112) that the SLK320 has, only a little bit more displacement. I think it hasn't been available in the US.

Our 350 has a M272 engine.

I looked through the Kleemann list and no supercharger for the SLK350. They have ECU's, exhaust, and recently headers but that's about all the performance stuff they have for the SLK350.

Sorry for the confusion guys, I thought the M112 was the new V6 engine.

That doesn't matter.
It is more important that we have the list.
