Hi guys, currently i'm in a dilema in lowering my car. At first I wanted to get the H&R lowering springs and cut it to get the agressive look but after I think it again, the ride will be terrible. So I decided just to use a lowering springs without cutting it. Which springs do you think gives the best drop? From my research: -H&R springs F 1.2in R 1.2in drop -VOGTLAND springs F 1.4in R 1.4in drop -Eibach only 1.0 in all around -Intrax springs? how much lower? -Cobra springs (dunno yet, still got no info from them) -H&R adjustable coils, kinda pricey though, but it gives up to 2.0 drop at the lowest setting -Brabus springs? how much lower? If there's any other option for me, please let me know, thanks a lot guys

What do you want? Lowering for the gallery, or maximum fun and driving comfort? If you change the springs only, your car becomes hard and uncomfortable. Because of the short springs your buffers are not working in the best range. Better to take a complete chassis with shortened buffers and springs. Good and cheap springs you find at www.weitec.de The best chassis you find at Bilstein, itīs the B16 Pss9

| I have brabus springs, lowers it about an 1", the ride is OEM like. H&R will be just a little bit lower, should be stiffer than brabus. KW coilvers will give you the most aggressive drop. Here's what brabus looks like.

as did i!!! i used to have KW variant 2's in my old Audi and they were fantastic! great drop and amazing handling. if i was willing to go all out i'd opt for te KW coilovers. however i only wanted a slight drop to maintain comfort, so went with eibach springs and am more than happy.

Hi, I had H&R Springs with modified lowering before. Look was nice, but the car became a little stiff... (first picture) Now I have KW coilovers version 3 (second picture), which gives a perfect look, and a perfect ride... Best regards from Germany, Werner

Hi Werner! I also have the KW type 3 on my SLK but I could not find out how and where to adjust the dampers according the installation manual. I have done adjustment on the top of the dampers only. Rebounce I think. How about the bump adjustment? Any tips?
