Carbon FIber air box group buy SLK55

I have been talking to vrus off of mbworld. He has developed $1500 cf airbox with real performance gains.

so i asked him if he would be willing to do a airbox for the slk55 and he said yes. We would need about 10 people to do the air box in the $1500 range. Thats a bargan compaired to what rennetech charges which is i beleave $3500.00 plus rennetech uses the stock bottom half of the AMG airbox.

i'm going to hit up the other forums to see if theres interest. also one other thing is the C55 airbox he same as the SLK55 airbox? is so we could get 10 people no problem.

Simple question from me ..........

Apart from damm good looks........ whats the advantage of a CF airbox on a non tuneed 55.

Mind you the $ to £ rate is good so very cheap at the moment

Out of curiosity, does vrus know anything about fluid dynamics? CF covers are cool but is their a performance value?

I'd doubt it, These 3rd party items are generally just wider with a little thought into improving flow and resonance.
