| Hello, first of all, I just got my slk55 today, and I love it!! ![]() so, i took it to my friend's shop (www.cp-e.com , they are manufaturing company who makes intake, exhaust, headers, and ECU chip for imports.) he's pretty excited about making headers and exhaust system for our car along with ECU modification (air/fuel control). Also, the price will be alot more resonable than most of other german makers. for example, their intake kit on regular mazda6 v6 (not turbo version) made ~25 WHP with the a/f tunning, and it cost little less than $600. another example, they prototyped new 07 BMW 335i (twin-turbo) exhaust system (cat-back), made about ~15 WHP, and it cost about $1500. So, I am gussing (not official), if he does our exhaust system (cat-back), full stainless steel, with nice Quad tip, it would be around $1500~1800 area, and hes VERY excited about making headers for it too. (i dont know much about pricing header). Again, this is not official product or price, but if we gather your interests, and whoever interested on them, maybe put 50% deposit, (including myself), let them do their development on my slk55, and start producing them! they just got theirselves a $100,000 brand new bender, that can bend anything upto 3.5' steel, so turn around time will be less than 1month max. More about this info, I suggest you talk directly to Josh@CP-E. there is a phone number on the website, or email him. emil is the best way to get hold of him. Let me know what you think! -john |

| Thats good news and just what I am looking for (Headers), I woudlnt mind purchasing the headers for the SLK55 but they need to provide us with a Dyno such as using your car as a tester to install their new custom headers for the SLK55. If its possible to have shorty headers because I dont want to eliminate my catalytics and The shorty headers seem to be more beneficial for our non supercharged 5.5L V8 adds much more torque in the low - mid range.

| Also the other companies test their products close to a year before releasing it to the public, has one year warranty, dyno charts, and results, to keep their reputation, will cp-e guarantee that it'll work as advertised. I could get a full cat back system from a muffler shop for really cheap too but there's no guarantees.

| well this company is no meinaki work type of thingy. if you check out, kooks performance, they are good example of what cp-e header and exhaust will be like. I am not associated with CP-E at-all, but as far as I know, their product is "top-of-the-line". |

| Aznevoviii. It's fantastic that a company are willing to seek feedback for future designs and production. Any new products offered to SLK drivers will be great obviously. you must understand this is a uncommercial forum and funded so. anything that resemblems product placement or thread spamming will not be tolerated. This does sound like a very interesting development for our slk's, just please respect the rules for future post. thanks loads, Brian
