Exhaust upgrade

Hi Everyone,

I been thinking about upgrade my exhaust system and I was considering the Eisenmann racing exhaust, but it still not being release yet. So I was wondering what other brands of exhaust system do you guys perfer?

There is a X pipe available through supersprintand muffler , cats and headers but they are pricey cost nearly 2k full.

But I checked their website and it says "available soon". Could you tell me where did you got yours from?

There's Kleemann, their exhaust tips are squared and looks like it came off a camero, not very appealing. Carlsson's are expensive and I believe supersprint makes them. Brabus ones I've seen for the SLK350, not sure if they make one for the SLK55.

Local dealer called them, They tend to update their website in a late manner, Check with your SuperSprint dealer.

Just posted pics of my Piecha Exhaust upgrade in the "Piecha Products" thread. I will post sound files soon. The exhaust note sounds amazing... just right for a roadster. I also have stock exhaust files to compare. All will be posted soon.

I love the look of a custom exhaust system. I put a B&B custom all stainless steel exhaust system on my wife's Cadillac CTS. It looked like a million bucks, but was too loud. She complained from day one, and after a while, I had to agree. It was too pretty to remove so we lived with it until we sold the car. A louder custom exhaust would be more acceptable on a SLK than a Cadillac.

so supersprint = carlsson? I guess I will give my local dealer a call.

Alroumi: How does the supersprint sounds compare to the OEM exhaust?

Piecha's Performance exhaust has been designed with REMUS. It is NOT a simple REMUS exhaust with Piecha Logos on the pipes. All internals, materials, and end pipes were custom designed based on Piecha Specs. REMUS just puts them together for him.

If i am not mistaken, REMUS works with Brabus as well.

I will post audio clips soon. Now that i had some time with the car on the highway and all... I AM IN LOVE! Can't keep my foot off the gas
