| have recently bought an SLK 350 and I have two queries, I was wandering if any one can help me: 1. Is it possible to link the fog lights on the rear of the car with the Brake lights? So that when I have the fog lights on and hit the brake, the fog lights increase in intensity.. 2. Is it possible to place a stronger, more powerful fog light (rear light)? If so, is there a website, or a link where I could order these from. (a link would be highly appreciated) 3. Does anyone of a site where i can purchase trims to be placed on the border of the air conditioning slots? or any other trims for the car's interior? (prefebally silver in colour) Thank You |

| Can't hear you!!...dude...no reason to type so big. Unless you're surfing the Internet with your PDA. Noregret4life should be able to answer your questions on these issues. Help no-way out ( ) before he puts an eye out!

![]() The fog light (red) in the rear tail-light assembly is only on one side (left in US cars). Is this the one you're referring to? Hobby shops sell something called Bare-Metal Foil (www.bare-metal.com) where adhesive is already present on one side of the chrome foil. They come in gold, matte aluminum, black chrome and Ultra Brite Chrome. You can cut a piece that is slightly larger than needed, burnish this on the parts of the air vent and trim with a sharp hobby knife and flexible staight-edge.

| no-way, 1. it would be a lot of work in order to make such a connection. You would need to run custom wires connected to an 1157 bulb. Then trace the rear fog light wires in the harness, connect into them, trace the brake light wires in the harness connect to them with a relay... in other words, it is more trouble and potential problems then its worth. 2. yes, there are more powerfull bulbs out there on the market. But keep in mind, brighter bulb usually means more heat. If i remember correctly, you need an 1156 bulb for the rear fog light. I would need to look at mine to make sure. then you can purchase something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Halog...spagenameZWDVW or if its 1157 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HALOG...spagenameZWD1V The only problem with these bulbs is that they get VERY VERY HOT!!! which means keeping them on for long periods of time may result in melting your bulb sockets. I use these bulbs in my reverse lights. Yes they are very bright, but i only use them in short period when only in reverse. Thus far no issues. I would not suggest using something like this in your 3rd brake light. It will most definitly melt it in the long run. You may be able to get some brighter bulbs from PIAA. but i have no knowledge on these and can not tell you if they are brighter then what you have now. 3. etyu took care of this one already... just look for alum stickon sheets. |
