| I don't think i understand mate? the car will have either 9 or 11 speakers if you have 9 you can add two in the opening yes if you have 11 then it will be full. But they are not quite what you would expect from them mate they make not much more than backing sounds all the time

| well do you actually have an SLK at the moment? If you do its very easy to tell where the speakers are but you can only add 2 unless you rip out the stock ones for a sub it would have to go in the trunk. Just be warned this car is not exactly mod friendly unless you know what you are doing the audio system is all MOST and there are no dedicate subs to speak of so adding a sub is a challenge. You really should stick with the stock system to be honest not saying you cant add speakers but some people remove the head unit and replace it but (and i am not in any position to comment on other peoples cars here its just what i have seen from experience) the car don't like it people don't always understand just how complex these cars are not just MB's but nearly all new cars all the components are networked and depend on each other playing with stuff like that is highly un-recommended

| you should ask your dealer to try the sound system on a R171 with the Harman Kardon option. The sub woofer is enough for the cabin space you've got and it will be easier to install as the whole system was made for the car |

| Like FPF says try the HK. Do you have that option on your's already if you do then sorry mate but your stuffed there is no space left to add any other speakers without cut and shut work and i gotta be honest i find it OK as it is. If you want a sub you will have to tap wires from the AGW and run them into the trunk and install it under the floor

| I have the HK's as well, there pretty dang good in my opinion. Also, the engineers at Mercedes designed the audio system to specifically fit the car. I wouldn't go around changing something like that on a whim. |

| That's what a bull dyke friend of mine would call "Sweet-Titty Pink." Now you just need a plastic, tit-job Miami Barbie for it. It is cool though, well done. Not that I would ever want to be in it, but the diamond pattern is cool. |

| I am not sure where I saw the picture....but I did see where a guy put a 10" sub below the dash in the footwell of the passenger side of the car. It was facing the floor and covered so it could not be kicked out. He said it sounded great. There is plenty of room there from the looks of how he had it mounted. Maybe someone here has seen it too?
