Red face A Humble Request... Smaller Signature Pictures - Small Screen

Every day I lug around a backpack filled with various tools, disks, cables, etc., and my little laptop. I have to carry a laptop with me everyday, everywhere I go, so I go for the lightest possible, a Thinkpad X41.

The downside of my little laptop is it's little 12" screen. Sometimes when I am having lunch and checking out the forums here and other places, it can get frustrating using my little wireless mouse or the mouse joystick to scroll down past large picture signatures.

Would it be possible that some people could consider using smaller repeating graphics in their signature? I enjoy seeing the large pictures in the post that has to do with the post, and enjoy seeing your cars, but sometimes it's a pain continually scrolling past large pictures you see again and again and again on a small screen.

In my personal opinion, I think Alroumi's signature picture is the best sized as far as height, and his signature doesn't seem to dwarf his posts.

Please don't take this as offensive, I'm not trying to be mean or rude or say anyone is being inconsiderate. It is just a request to make my life a little easier.

YNot,

Don't know why your picture size would make any difference for scrolling as your post is still smaller than the avatar at the left and its information.

looks like my text is a bit larger then most of your pics attached.
I'll size down the mods list to be "less space consuming" to help out

Yours is fine. It's not the width, it's the height that causes the problem.

PS:
Cool, //AMG you are using the business card idea. I think it would be great if it had all the different models on it. You know, like R170 regular and AMG, and R171 regular and AMG, so people who get the cards on their cars will feel included, or maybe even just one of R170 and one R171. What do you think?

Also, as someone who bought a car badged a Mercedes-Benz SLK350 and not a R171, a new owner will not know what an R170 and R171 is just yet.

Woolly, I think what RacerCub68 meant is that not all R171 owners would know that their car is technically designated as R171 as the badge on the rear says SLK and not R171. This might also apply to some R170 owners.

Yes, ETYU, you are very right. When I first bought my car I was not a true "Mercedes Geek". In fact if you asked me what internal designation our '83 300SD and '94 S500 were, I still couldn't tell you. Until I joined the discussions, and learned all the fabulous things you guys taught, I did not know what R170 and R171 meant.

Maybe a line about "all SLK models welcome" would be good since the picture on the card is a new AMG model.

I know from helping out with the Fiero clubs that people have strange reactions and interpretations when you show the most expensive model on the cards. Many 4 cylinder car owners wouldn't investigate because if it had a GT V6 car on the card, they thought that people would not be as interested and accepting of their "cheaper" model.

...and yes mine was almost "badged" an R171. I wanted a personalized easy to remember plate, but not one that was too rememberable to others, and ordered "BR171" for the ill fated '05. B for Byron'z of course!

I would believe it!

Speaking of Grass, when you gonna' show me a picture of the Andrite Green?

If you want to talk Peroxide, the local plastic surgeons are competing again. Imagine it sounding like a car commercial, on the FM comes a commercial touting: get a boob job and they'll throw in free lipo.

God, I LOVE this town!
