| Check it out, http://www.omniauto.it/magazine/5261/ferrari-california The Hugely anticipated Ferrari California has been revealed with three official images and first details. The new GT joins Ferrari's 8-cylinder family and slots in just below the 612 Scaglietti with its new V8 which for the first time in their history is placed in the mid-front position of the car. Despite earlier predictions of a coupe model, the California will be exclusively available as a convertible featuring a folding hard top. Power comes courtesy of a new 4.3-Liter V8 Engine with direct fuel injection and a “flat” crankshaft, output stands at 460 horsepower at 7500 rpm which launches it from 0-100km/h in under 4 seconds. The new model is the first model in the range to benefit from a new 7-speed dual clutch transmission which helps enhance the performance figures and driving pleasure whilst simultaneously reducing emissions(c.310 g/km CO2). But the performance enhancements don't stop there, the California also gets a new multilink rear suspension system, the F1-Trac traction system originally debuted in the 599 GTB Fiorano and carbon-ceramic material brake discs. The interior benefits from newly developed accessories and equipment such as the seats, steering wheel, instrument panel and infotainment system. The exterior shows a classic prancing horse design aerodynamically enhanced to be highly ergonomic and enjoyable car to drive regardless of whether the top is up or down. The California will be publicly unveiled in September at the Paris Motor Show, but before then we are promised further details and images will be released. My thoughts, Can I say mashed potatoes, its like my food when it comes to car I would like something simple, tastes good and isnt visually disturbing nor delicate and this car is ugly and costs alot for looks that I can get in a cheaper car something from lexus with the SC430. The Ferrari F430 is a looker and so is the 599, even with the 612 which i dont like alot seems much more visually tempting than modena's new creation/ What were those italians thinking, its freaking ugly and a bastard child from modena, in all honestly i would forgoe the ferrari and get a maserati granturismo which looks more elegant and well done rather than having to paste all of ferrari's cues from the 60s'-90's in one package.

| Actually, the exterior lines [in my opinion] are rather clean and nice, excepting the rear view. The exhaust pipes are horrendous! Absolutely terrible. And the interior doesn't look appealing at all, from what I could see. The air vents popping out like weird eyeballs, what's with that? ![]() Re-do the view from behind and it'll be a start in the right direction. Mike |

| I would love them to re work on the rear tailights and giving it their traditional quad lights and in addition to having a wider headlights so that it looks sleek and not over done.

| To me, the car's belt line looks too high, while the "pinched in" front makes the car look as though it has not front overhang from some angles. And as to rear overhang, it really has none! From the front straight on, the car looks most like what a re-styled '00 Honda S 2000 might look like, except a little more pinched. This is a car that I hope looks in better proportion "in person" than in the pictures. |

| At first I thought, "It's you!" Then I studied all the pictures. I'm afraid, for me, it is "butt ugly". I really dislike that rear. I was quite surprised as I was liking the lines until I got to the back view... Just the opposite of my opinion of the SLK. I think it looks great from all angles! |

| It works okay for me. Front is just fine but wow, that rear needs help. Hate the exhaust on that ISF, er I mean Ferrari.

| Agreed. Not a fan of the exhaust setup, but I DO like how it looks from side profile. Not a fan of the rims either. Front...needs to grow on me. I would like to see what it looks like with the folding hardtop up!

| It's a Ferrari so we will all learn to love and appreciate it, I agree with both member, the ISF exhaust have to go. I didn't like the 599 b/c it was too simple of a Ferrari, now I like it b/c it's simple, go figure. Like any other Ferrari before it's time, it'll be sold out, hard to get, and outrageously price. Even if you don't like it, someone else will and it'll be hard to get. Ferarri marketing FTW.
