| !@#$%^&*^%$#@!#$%^&*(*&^%$#@#$%^&*&^%$#@#$%^ &*&^%$#@#$%^&*&^%$#$%^&^%$#@#$%^&*&^%$#$%^&@#$%^%$#@#$%^&* I just bent a rim on my way home. I FELL into a pot hole on a highway like road doing 60 (spd limit 55 so not flying) and it was a hard hit. Ironically i thought it was funny the car took it so well, but when I got out when I was home I looked back and noticed my tire was losin air fast, on closer look the lip looks bent, so the rim is probably to. Its 10pm here in the east coast and I have to get up at 7, but there is no other car i can use atm, so I HAVE to go switch some rims around my car in the middle of the night. ARGHRGHRGHRHHRG. So pissed off. F*CK |

| Sorry to hear it John - our roads are cratered too this time of year and I'm amazed I haven't bent one myself, it hits that hard at times.

| Ok the tire seems fine, so thats good. As for the rim.... I dunno, the Lip is bent, but i cant see a bend when i look from the other side, and it appears to roll straight. BUT there is a small crack in the lip, that causes air to just pour through. Sigh thats usually a def sentence for them, im bringing it down tommorow 4/23 to http://www.wheelcollision.com/ they are about 30 mins from me, and they are nationally known and respected, the helped me out the first time this happened to bout 2 years ago. Ok first pic is of the crack, second, look at the bottom you can see the bent lip. |

| You need to have the rims balanced to see if it is rolling straight, physically rolling it doesnt make that much observation. Whilst having it balanced, it will show if its shaking slightly whilst moving in a forward direction then its bent.

| Ya i wasnt trusting it even if there wasnt a crack, Either way i was gunna bring it to the repair center for wheels. But from what i can tell it isnt a horrible bend, so if the crack can be fixed, the bend shouldnt be a problem, Ive seen some of the rims they have fixed, some almost squared off they got back and strength tested them to OEM. Its interesting. |

| Sorry to hear John. This is at least the second time with bent wheels. The first one was a lot worse IIRC.

| Those potholes are why I am always amazed that everyone seems to want to put BIG wheels on with LITTLE tires. If you have a big impact, I don't think there is enough tire there to protect the rim. Especially in Western New York. |
