Default WRX STi

Wow, had a look at my friends STi the other night... That is indeed a tuner car to a whole new level.

We were working on his fellow STi owner's car to bypass the foglights so that they would run independent of the headlights. I was looking at the wiring... What a MESS!

Even the stock wiring looked like it was just thrown in there, not to mention all the clipping, splicing, chopping, clamping that was in there from all the other parts installed.

I think it's great to have so many options out there for those cars. You can pretty much do anything to them depending on your own personal style.

If i had an STi... wow... that car would be something else.

I am in no way busting on the WRX guys out there. I think its great that they have these options, my buddies' is actually a very tastefully done car and so was his friend's. They even removed those huge spoilers from the trunk.

But as i was trying to help them wire it all, it just felt so... well just so easy to mod. -Just my 2c

And that's a bad thing. I actually like the WRX STi, AWD, turbo, it's quick and cheap, easy to mod and tons of aftermarket products for it.

Oh i was in no way saying that was a bad thing... I do actually like the car a lot myself.

Would of been great if the SLK was as easy to mod. Then again god knows what people would do to it.

Perhaps if it was easier in terms of removing pannels, or running wiring, so on... that would of been great.

I LOVE the wrx sti...but i didn't want a 4 door. if they had made a 2 door version, that's probably the car i would have gotten (even if it cost much more than the sedan). Anyone know why they don't have a coupe?

I like the STI and EVO. In addition to the 55, I need a commuter car and like the idea of an economical 4 cylinder that I can mod for loads of power.

After my lease is up, I might get one of those. It's also possible the new VW Corrado is here by then. Anyways, it sure would be nice to own a car that has mods that don't require a second mortgage.
