Howdy all. Wouldn't it be an awesome sight to see 10 -15 (or more) SLKs cruising down the road somewhere in the South East? Just wondering if anyone else has had the same thought? Wouldn't that make for a great photo opportunity to post on the site?
We have three potential starters, any more intrepid explorers out there that want to be part of a few hours cruising? Do you fancy a midweek run or a weekend run?
Gday all i live in the gc hinterland on top of the mountains. would like to join a cruise one day . have just about restored 1997 230k to original just waiting for 2 more parts from the uk. regards chris
Good luck Phil, it only takes a few keen owners to get started and once they actually meet the enthusiasm for the SLK and participating in more drives grows. This drive with Rory could be the break you are looking for and once the other guys on the forum read about your day's run they will be motivated enough to investigate by turning up for the next drive.
They will not be disappointed as we southerners have demonstrated. As Rory said, great top down Autumn driving weather too - even down here!
All the best mate,
Sean

Aw, c'mon Nev, what's a little 4 hour drive for a SLK owner. If you left at 6am, you could be here for some morning tea at 10. We'd even have it on the northside of Brissy so you don't have to drive as far.
Go for it guys! Do what we southerners did and form a club - you will never look back!
Check us out at slkdriversclub.com.au to see what is achievable and best of luck Phil, I hope this gets you guys airborne.
