Yeah, but LA's car show has to be better then Miami... I miss living in Detroit, that one was always fun, especially on press day.

Interesting you bring up cardiology today... Dad just got hospitalized last night for a suspected MI and is undergoing tests today. I think it was more of a spasm, and that he's going to be okay. He wasn't displaying any other symptoms, no referred pain, etc.

You have to say it was good luck. It happened when he took Mom to her regular MD because of a UTI. When he started having problems he was across the street from the hospital (somewhere in Ft. Worth, TX.) Why they dispatched a fire truck as well as a 'bus, only someone living in Texas would know. Maybe they thought they might need the jaws of life for the lobby chair.

What did you decide to pursue instead? May I ask?

I'm glad your Dad is fine. Have his doctor review his risk factors, if he has any, and reduce those as much as possible.

In CA, when you call 911. They will always respond as a team -- the Fire Truck with the EMT's on board, followed by the ambulance transport. They just want to be prepared for almost any eventuality.

I did 2 years of Medical Oncology fellowship in Chicago (lived in an apartment in Park Ridge) but got to be challenging emotionally as one loses 50% of patients yearly. So I went with my primary specialty, internal medicine, as suggested by one of my mentors/professors. Ended up doing urgent care work for the current medical group that I am affiliated with now for the last 20 years.

IM going to the autoshow....in my SLK... it would be cool to have more cars come.

btw, go to south beach alot..although I live in he Doral Area..(near the airport).

Yeah, well I'm a great person to know. Especially during convention center things like boat show, etc. ;-)

My SLK sat out front durig the autoshow, but I just walked. I go on Tuesday night, there's like nobody, and especially no screaming kids. So it's east to get in the cars, talk with the sales people, and have fun.

Damn I forgot to do the jeep thing outside before I left. Did do the picture with a friend.
