OK, looks like we're going for Chateau Elan on July 26th.

Here is some info: Wine tour & testings are at 12, 1, 2, 4, & 5, no reservations needed, $10/person or $18/couple. Seven restaurants from casual to "what are you car guys doing here?"

Nothing on the schedule for Road Atlanta that day.

Let's meet somewhere off I-85 around noon, drive up, do lunch, and maybe the wine tour for those who want to, and find a spot for group pics.

Meet 3 will then be on the south side of town.

Just got off the phone w/ Joe and he had talked to Rick who had been at ACC for service and the people offered a conference room, maybe breakfast etc...(Thanks Rick) But people's schedules are such that a noon meet time is necessary but I will still contact ACC about some bonuses. BTW, SLKman (Brent) is still seriously considering a road trip up that weekend. Dpending on his itinerary Randy, you guys might want to hook up for the final bit to ACC since I'm assuming he'll be coming up I-85N which is not too far from you IIRC.

Just got back in from vacation in Florida! Yes, I survived the wife and kids for the week!!! Had a great time and I look forward to the 26th!

Hopefully we can drag a few more SLK's along for this meet! And I'm sure Rick's 55 will be the cleanest

OK, just got done talking to my man Reggie at ACC about us meeting there on the 26th at noon. As when Rick talked to them when he was there, they are very interested in being involved with this. They are going to put our meet in their monthly e-mail newsletter they send out and they offered to send out an announcement to the SLK owners in their database, so I need to write a paragraph and e-mail it to him. Any thoughts on what to include are appreciated.

BONUS: It sounds as if they a willing to bring the SLR roadster outside with the group for picture ops!

I will update as this develops.

They are going to have some FL 2009 SLKs for us to look at. They're looking at this as a win-win situation for us and them.

Sorry to hear that Bill. OK, looks like we've got Joe, Randy, Rick, Brent (SLKman coming up from Houston) and James who e-mailed me about the event, and myself. There may be others who just show up from the ACC announcement. Hope for great or at least good weather!!

Sorry I've been kinda quiet on here lately, work has been crazy! Just got back in town.
Anyway, is 12:00 noon still the plan? and does ACC have some parking set aside for us? That place can get congested on Saturdays.

Yep, that's the plan, noon at ACC. Joe, would you mind planning a back roads route from ACC to CE? Please? I'll check about the parking tomorrow, today is Reggie's day off.

How far "out of the way" do you all want to go??

You could always take Hwy 124 which takes you past the Panoz facilities (also owned by the CE people).
