Piccies, SoCal 14Jun2008 meet, Rancho Santa Fe/Escondido
Five of us (four vehicles) met at around 9:30 am today at the Starbucks on Ortega Highway, San Juan Capistrano. The red 'gator (Cayman) is very nice and had some passersby ask questions. I think it's because of the gender of the owner
Three SLK's at parking lot of Starbucks:
V8SLK has some very nice wheels:
45-minute wait to cross 2 miles of the Ortega Highway due to accident and construction. Below pix of red Cayman and Black SLK 55:
It was great to meet Mr and Mrs Cold Shot at the Stone Brewery in Escondido, CA.
Thank you for the beer, Cold Shot. Go easy on the "Levitation" (beer)
Thank you TSlick as always for being the pathfinder and picking the place.
The three need to update their GPS
Below is a pix of the beer bar:
Outside patio where we had a hearty lunch, great conversation and a toast to SLKWorld:
Pix of Koi pond:
Buffalo burger, I was moderately hungry and already ate one-quarter before thinking of taking pix. The brown sauce with beer was super yummy!
Someone was hungry too and already ate half when I took this pix:
Somebody was quite refined at eating his lunch: spicy sausage and beer-infused mustard:
Eddy thank you for sharing with us, you guys live in a marvelous area love the open back roads they seem to be very enjoyable in a day were congestion is low. As usual V8 SLK's car is stunning, I am loving the stance when on the move.
The wife and I just got back to Scottsdale from the weekend in SoCal. We had a great time meeting up with everyone. We only we wish we had more time this weekend so we could have joined the crew for a proper drive. Lunch was great, but the best part of it was the company. We definately plan on looking everyone up on our next trip to the area.
I will get a few pictures off the camera tomorrow and post them here. Eddy and Tom, thanks for getting the early pictures posted!
