Actually, the seats on the 55 have more padding than on the prior 280. It is more supportive and is comfortable. The cushion was from the old E320. It is artificial sheeepskin with dark cloth facing the leather seats. I use it to keep the leather relatively clean from stains and dirt. It does offer added comfort especially on long drives.

The prior E320 had beige leather seats. The one on the 55 is even a lighter beige.
That is also got to do with the lighter textured nappa leather, the soft feel makes quiet a difference.

I can feel your pain, the beige seats need alot of attention in detail and frequent cleaning.

Black/full Beige slk owners need alot of free time to detail the black paint and keep it swirl free and yet they also have to keep the interior clean from stains and blackening due to the pants/jeans.

I have to say he did an AWESOME job, took his time and did a great job!
he never over looked anything no matter how small it was!

I was super impressed with his installation.

Thanks again eddy!

You're very welcome, Ghost.

Just remember to turn the module off when going in for service. When the lease is up, we can always remove the module (takes less than half the time to put it in, as no wiring assembly is required) and put it on the next R171.

Thanks also to DansSLK for the fuseholder bit and contact spring that allowed the installation on Slot #42, after some minor modification. Link to minor modification, post #46: http://www.slkworld.com/general-modi...-slk280-3.html
