| Well, I opened my mouth to soon about fire season being over. It looks like it could be a crispy winery run. The fires should be out by next month. Here's the latest maps for Cal wildfires. http://activefiremaps.fs.fed.us/acti...hive&rCode=cgb |

| Press embellishment via the OCregister. Probably Cook's Corner will survive. A lot of local firefighters hang out at that place The route may change and the winery's may change but it still looks like a go. OC Register... Cook’s Corner went from being a staging area to endangered Tuesday afternoon. The landmark motorcycle tavern and restaurant was evacuated at approximately 3:30 p.m. as flames swept over the hill in Modjeska Canyon. Residents said firefighters told them to evacuate immediately. “It’s coming toward us,” said Rhonda Palmeri, the tavern’s event coordinator . “We’re getting the food out right now.” - 4:48 p.m. Edit: laughed when I went back a saw firefiter vs firefighter Last edited by Tslick; 10-23-2007 at 11:25 PM. |

| It looks like SR76 and Mount Palomar will be closed so the route will go from to Tamecula and the wineries. Eddy, can you check out Cooks Corner to see if they will be open on Saturday. I'm assuming Live Oak and Trabuco Canyon road are now open. If it will be a problem, then lets start thinking of a new meet point. |

Is there a chance that SR 76 and Mount Palomar might open in 3-4 days?

| I drove by Cook's Corner this morning. It looks fine. There was a sign about one block away, stating "Welcome Home, residents only, ID required" but no check point or anything like that. I think the restriction will be lifted very soon. I also called Cook's Corner a few minutes ago and they say they'll be open this Saturday and they're also open right now.

We await for recommendations from Edward and Kandy. My estimate is around 5 to 6.
