Default Mercedes 'Wis' program?

I bought some kind of maintenance program off of eBay called 'Wis' for the r170. It's supposed to let me look at how things are wired and who knows what else. Does anyone know anything about this program? It's asking me for a password and apparently requires some sort of licensing. Should I be angry at the guy who sold it to me?

Thanks
Josh

I believe that it stands for Workplace Information System or the like. It's considered a very proprietary piece of software by MB. There's been a fair debate on this forum as to the legality of private ownership of this software. Most of it is gotten off eBay.

Can't help with the login issue .. sorry.

Run a search and you'll find a long discussion between Dansslk and jamesgreen about it. That'll tell you everything you want to know.

7 posts, and you've already got us figured out. You can give Mercedes a call and they can help you get WIS installed. If you take the time to update your profile with the country you live in, I'll grab the right phone number for you.

ps - photo's from the last waxing session.

leesslk230,
Perhaps the thought that the ability to work on one's car is very important, but the ability to communicate and cooperate is equally so. Especially from one who comes here for advice.

Come back later (in a month), be civil, and perhaps you'll get some help. Otherwise, find your answers in a more "useful place."
