| Hi everyone, I am planning to upgrade wheels on my car to 19" (looking at Oz Racing Michelangelo II PL's). Now I am sure I can fit 19 x 8.5" front (with 235/35 tires) and I can fit 19 x 9.5" rears. Now the question is what tire at the rear. The company supplying me the wheels have recommended 255/30. The tire I want is the Michelin Pilot Sports. However Michelin Europe tell us that they have discontinued this size. I really want to stick with the Michelin's, I have had them in the past on other rides and other threads in the forum have all had positive comments for them. Is it possible to fit 265/30's? Or would 255/35's be too big and run the risk or arch rubbing? I have fitted a H&R Performance Coilover kit and the car is sitting now 1.2" lower front and rear. All help is really appreciated! Cheers, Dan. |

| Hi Dan, for the 19'' I would only take these combinations: front: 225/35 with rear: 255/30 or front: 235/35 with rear 265/30. Others have a different circumference at the front and rear. At least these combinations are required by German authorities.

| I put 19 X 9.5 w/35 mm offset on the rears and 19 X 8 w 32 mm offset on the front. TSW Volcanoes. I ran PS Cups 235 / 35 on the front and 265 / 30 on the rear. 2 problems. Under extremely hard cornering, the fronts would rub the bottom of the spring lower mount. Also, the car seems to be much more unsetteled over uneven pavement. Neither was a problem on the street but I couldn't track the car with this combo. I now run 225 & 255 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrics for my street tires and am much more satisfied with them. I run Hoosier 18" R6s on the track. |

| Thanks for the feedback Bernd and RB. I don't plan to track the car with wheels this big so some of the concerns you pointed out RB I hope to avoid. From the general summary though looks as though if I stick to 255/30's on the rear I'll be safe, just a bit unsure as to 235/35's on the front.... Thanks for the advice! Dan. |
