Default New SLK Driver!

Hi
I have just recently bought an SLK 200, 2005 model. I love it, am still getting used to not having the room to throw things in the back, as I did in my adui TT but think its great non the less!! & so much prettier!! I'm still playing with and finding out what the various interior controls can do! Apologies to all who are SLK experts but I have a couple of really basic queries that I was hoping to get help with.
First - how do I go about getting the phone system working? - what do I need to do etc? and how much will this cost? It seems a shame to have the option of using the built in features and not do something about it.
Secondly - I want to play my ipod in the car. I've done a bit of searching on the net and can't seem to figure out what options I have, all seems extremely complicated stuff!
Many Thanks for any help you can give.
Sarah

Do you have the COMAND nav screen or the base Audio 20? That would determine if you can connect an iPod adaptor.

Does your car have the phone preparation? Is there a phone cradle in the center arm rest?

The armrest connector looks like this. The bluetooth module installs into it like this. Phone Cradle in armrest.

Basically you need the "pre-wiring" kit. If you have that, I think you will find a connector under the sideways tipping armrest. If you have the wiring, then it is easy otherwise, not so much. If you have the kit, then I would recommend to get the Bluetooth puck that connects to the connector. Then you should be able to use any Bluetooth phone that supports HFP (Hands Free Protocol).
