| Hello everyone... I am new to this site. I think it is great that there is a forum for SLK owners to exchange stories and photos. In addition, I am hoping I can get some help here. This morning I fired up my 2001 SLK 320 and headed off to work. About 5 minutes into my drive, I began getting blasted by extremely hot air coming from the vents on the dash. No matter what the rolling temperature settings were or if the A/C was on or off, I was getting blasted by HOT!!! air. Has anyone experienced this before? I am thinking of buying the manual for the car, is anyone interested in a group buy? Thanks, Jeff |

| DansSLK, Thanks for your input... I suspected this unit, but I had no idea for sure. I did notice that the outputs or inputs went to the heater core in the firewall. I checked the voltages which were identical on both side. Then I decided to take the solenoid body off and flip over to see if it actuated when I changed the thumb wheel positions. One side did not activate. Took the solenoid body apart and removed all the corrosion. Checked it again with both sides now working, reinstalled and all is working well. Thanks again... Best Regards, Jeff |
