Bluetooth in SLK 280 [2007 model]

Hi i have a question my gf just bought a new 2007 SLK and she now wants to get the buletooth installed to use her cellphone in her car but when she went to the MB dealer they told her that her car is not pre wired for the bluetooth so it will cost her around $1400 to get all done

i was wondering if there is a cheaper way too or that is the only option she have

please suggest

There's been plenty discussed here regarding Bluetooth. If your dealer can install the factory system for $1400, that's your best option. There are also several aftermarket systems available. Here's one link from this forum, but do a search for others. Good luck.

I have the oem Bluetooth kit and I was charged around 1,400 with the ipod kit together, my car was pre-wired. Note, installation/labour charges might differ as I am not in the States etc.

I highly reccomend it, Go for it!

The MB system does work very well, but before you spend the $ make sure your g/f's existing phone is compatible, as only a few are, after all if you spend $1400, the last thing you want to find out is the system still doesn't work. Cheers.
