SRS Light On

After a weekend of "spirited" driving around the Lakes and few harder than expected landings, my SRS light and a warning message has come on.
Is this a Dealer only job or is there anything I can do at home? I have an OBDII interface if thats of any use? Can I re-set it? I had a quick look under the seats and I can't see any obvious loose connections but there is such a mess of wires under there I'm not sure what I'm looking for...

I dropped in to my local indie "Millenium Mercedes" at Dereham and they hooked the car up to their Star machine.
They reset the SRS and told me that it was the wiring connector in the steering column which probably pulled apart slightly after one of my more enthusiastic landings...
Told me to keep an eye on it and if the light returned they could do a mod to the wiring to fix it. He didn't think it would reappear under "normal" use though.
Top service and at no charge! Highly recommended for anyone in the Norfolk area.
They'll be fitting my '55 exhaust for me soon.

Is this because of the frequent turns on the steering wheel and the rapid change in the lateral G forces?

Pleased you had good service, its always nice to hear but the wiring should be replaced as it is a known defect and will fail again the connectors should not come apart no matter how hard the landing that's why they are all positive locking.

I think it might even be a TSB.
