Brake flasher module is 100% integrated into my car. No wires cut, 100% reversable
After it's tested and ready, let us know and I'll PM the needed info for mailing, etc. I notice there are 4 switches for the modes. Can you tell us which one is for what? You may choose to call the innermost switch, switch no.1, and so forth.
Thanks for developing and getting the module together. NG4L.

NoRegret4Life - catch my drift? Are you picking up what I'm putting down? WOW! This is a great mod. The addition of the third brake light (way back when) was a great safety feature. This refines the original concept. More visibility represents greater safety. One day, this will (should) be adopted by all automotive manufacturers. Admit it, you're a mad scientist, trapped in a mind mannered SLK owners body. Make sure I'm on your list when they become available. Thanks for your contributions!

I actually don't mind the slightly longer wire as I was thinking of mounting the module near the green lighted trunk/boot release switch, so I can switch modes as needed. Either way is fine however. I just can't wait.
How much heat would the resistor generate as the brake lights are not always on (perhaps 3-4 minutes at the longest at a red traffic light)?

easty... thank you so much for hosting these files.
I want to redo the videos a bit. And will try to find a better host not to take up space on yours.
Thanks again!
Ah No problem mate it's my pleasure. I have 100mb I don't use, now I have the photo hosting service. so feel free to mail me anything you want me to host. to brian@slkworld.com or east@uk2.net. its cool!

Longer wires are no biggy. I think a longer set is actually nice too, as you can mount the module anywhere you like.
The heat from the resistor is not very high at all. Even at constant on in gridlock traffic. The aluminum wrapping you see around it will protect any thing close to it, even plastic or wires.
I had 2 of these resistors running my license plate LED bulbs full time, and never had a problem.
UPDATE UPDATE!!!
-The Kleyman 1 module now features a "Service mode" - simply flip 2 of the mini switches on, and your module returns your 3rd brake light to normal ON operation. I disconnected the resistor just to double check, and received no error in this mode! this means no need for additional bypass switches when you go in for service or inspection.
-Also the "Constand flashing" mode (which just keeps flashing the light nonstop) is now adjustable via a mini turn knob on the module. Which means you can adjust the number of flasher/sec. (just for this mode only only)
no regret, did you post a price anywhere yet or did i just miss it? I would also like to see a step by step install when you get that far. i installed the vario roof successfully myself so i am not that dumb but that had pictures! you know, remove this screw here, turn that screw there, etc. thanks for the great work!

no i did not post the price for this module yet, as i still need to calculate it all together with parts and all. it also depends on the # of modules ordered. As i need to pay for shipping for a group buy to keep the prices low.
I would expect the price to be around $40 + shipping... how does that sound to everyone, reasonable???

3. Is it important for the module to have this feature: first time you hit the brakes, it flashes the brake light, then if you hit the brake within 20 sec. again, it does not flash, or reduces the # of flashes > this is for stop & go traffic.
4. VS. the feature in Q3. will it be ok if it flashes the brakes 3 times, then steady on EVERY time you hit the brakes, in traffic, and all?
I'm not interested in the unit but would recommend that you work out one way of disabling it in stop-go traffic... otherwise you might find a tyre lever through the light at the next set of traffic lights.
Also, have you considered that the flashing light may cause an epileptic to start a "fit"? Not saying that it would as I have no idea, but just something to think about in "sue for everything" USA.
