No, I think some Bluetooth phones may support Obex (object exchange) and not HFP. So the phone must support HFP.

BTW is it necessary to get the cradle for bluetooth and handsfree function. The dealer in the US at least charges 200 or so for it. Don't know if it's worth it especially since I have a Treo (iPhone soon).

You have to have the proper wiring and the Blutooth puck. I like it a lot. I like the integration into the comand and speaker system.

Me too. I believe with the Bluetooth module, it should be able to pair with most cell phones, the thing missing may be functionality on the contacts list and speed dial (mainly a matter of software compatibility).

Speed dial, contacts list are functional with the Motorola and Blackberry software but not with LG and other makes.
