I don't think the service people would care/notice as there won't be any error message. You may have to explain to the technician if/when they do a general check on the lights for proper function. I 'm planning to leave mine the way it is. (Don't forget to deactivate the varioroof module.)

Really a personal choice... depends on how good you are with the tech working on your car. I would def. disable the roof module till at least after they have done service. Then i'd enable it, and blow their socks off

As for the flasher. If you installed it with the car off, there will not be a "bulb out" error message stored. So at most like etyu said, you may need to explain to them that its a custom job, and the 3rd brake light is operating as it should. If you don't, they may start digging in there.

I am also going in for service on Monday (same as you). I am going to disable both the Kleyman 3BFM & the Roof module till after they are done working on the car. Then i'll give them a show.

My car's computer is however filled with tons of bulb out errors from working on the module, and all the led conversions, foglight HID conversion... so on. But i know my tech, so at most he just brings it to my attention as he did last time on my CLK. (had somewhere near 100 bulb out warnings... was testing out resistors/leds/new bulbs/HIDs on the CLK )

thanks lenny, so i go 'service mode' , all switches 'off' except '3' and turn blue dial clockwise till the end. after service, back to default strobe burst and move blue dial counter clockwise until the middle.

Actually for Service Mode you will need to do this:

While holding the module with Switch #1 on your left
Switch #1 = OFF
Switch #2 = OFF
Switch #3 = ON
Switch #4 = OFF
Turn blue dial clockwise till the end

And to return it back to Burst flashes
Switch #1 = OFF
Switch #2 = ON
Switch #3 = OFF
Switch #4 = OFF
Turn blue dial counter-clockwise till till about the middle (doesn't really matter at what point)

at least you know your tech. I get to look through the service garage door whenever it goes up to let cars out and pray i can see my car and what is being done to it.

Keep us posted on how service went with the Kleyman 3BFM v1.5 module. I'm curious to see how the service technician likes it.
