| I need some advise on removing the lower storage tray with the cig lighter assembly. My customer had me replace the upper cup holders and would like to have me replace the lower unit as well. After removing both screws on the lower unit it should slide out in order to disconnect the wires from the cig lighter assembly, not wanting to force or break anything the unit is loose but will not slide out. Any suggestions from those who have replaced theirs would be appreciated. |

| You need to make sure the gear shifter (if it's a 7G box) is in D - (or basically out of the way) first. Then, in order to get the ashtray / storage compartment out, you'll need to move the panel above out of the way (this is the one with the air con / heating dials on it). To do this, you simply need to gently prise the two top corners (top left and top right) of the air con panel with a screw driver or similar (be careful not to damage it). It should just pop out. Once you removed this you can remove the lower storage compartment / ashtray without too much trouble. Hope that helps! |
