Anyway, you have to do something.
Okay, so here are the updates and results:

It seems the inside button not working is a side effect of the module's speed setting being set at 0 MPH, once I set the speed setting back up, it works fine now.

I originally set the speed setting at 20 MPH, and am wondering how it went to 0. It might have been me trying to get it out of mode 2 maybe I wasn't careful with what I was pushing. My big fear is that it might get set wrong because my iPod interface uses the phone buttons. I have to work it a bit and find out.

It is amazing how that inside button not working properly can really drive you mad, especially with the instant showers we have here in the summertime.

I think it's best to leave the module on one preferred mode only and this should lessen the chance of inadvertently putting the speed limit to 0 mph/kph. That's good trouble shooting RacerCub68: If the center console button doesn't work, check to make sure the speed limit was not set at 0 mph.

I didn't want it in Mode2, it whent there for some reason after it was installed. If it were me, I'd have the mode2 removed completely, it's useless.

I don't think I set the speed at 0 either. I have not driven the car all weekend, so I don't know if using the iPod interface causes it to reset itself.
