Chrome or Satin Finish?

Hello, I am new to SLKWorld and have enjoyed much of the dicussion about these wonderful vehicles.

I have a 2005 SLK350 with AMG Package, Alabaster White exterior and Beige interior. I am looking to mod it a bit and was wondering what the group thinks about new wheels and hood fins. I am looking to get the 19" AMG style 2 piece look wheels but am not sure what would look best with the White exterior, chrome or silver? Also not sure about chrome or satin roll bars and hood fins with the white. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Welcome geermx. I prefer the satin over the chrome (personal opinion). Too much bling and shine with the chrome.

I normally don't like chrome wheels. Here's a pic of SLK55AMG13s white SLK 55 with the same wheels you mention in chrome. I like the look of those chrome wheels on a white SLK. You decide and get what you like best. Check out this link,

welcome geermx. i do like chrome, but i think the satin would look better with a white car. either way, post pix.

First off welcome and a vote for satin, IMO. Either way, post pics, as Scott said (V8SLK).

Welcome from NY...I am caught in the same dilemma although my car is Iridium Silver...Chrome is the temptation but could look too "bling" for my taste and Silver might be too sedate...Lately I lean towards a combo...silver with a polished lip, of course you would have t get a rim with a difinitive lip.....sorry no help here just comiseration.
