I am modding my car even in my dream. 1 year ago NR4L had a thread and answering everybodies mod wishes. the title of the thread was "Mod requests anyone?"I wanted to buy 55 AMG front apron and put neon/ led lights behind the grills and side wents. As I did not want to look like a ricer, side vents would glow yellow with the turn signals And all front grills would flash out red with the high beam. NR4L was very kind and replied my request immediately. Here are the pics that I posted...

I did not want to spend that much money for a front apron but I knew I would spend it one day because I felt it would be a killer... 1 week ago I installed 55 AMG front apron + 6000 K Xenon fog lights and a led mod that made the car look like a hungry monster at night. Led is on with the high beams, There is nothing visible behind the grills when it is off. Believe me actual appearance is x100 better than videos or photos. I wish I had 350 or 55 AMG to match the appearance with performance . I hope some of you will try the mod after me. Here are the photos...

WOW! Well done! I bet it looks better in person because the camera is picking up the individual red LED bulbs and not the "glow" itself. Can you post a picture of the LEDs themselves? Or perhaps a closeup of the mesh grill where you mounted them. The HID fog lights look great now with the low beams on the amg 55 front.

| I like everything but the red l.e.d light's, honestly its a SLK not modifying cars in Need for Speed. The new front makes it look very mean and the 19" SL65 look wheels are a great add, enjoy your SLK and I hope my comments dont meant harm.

Well it looks like all my posts went missing due to forum issues. ![]() Ok, so here are the results of the test tonight with the small neon tube. Keep in mind that the tube is rather thin, and designed for the interior and that it's only about 30cm (1ft) in length. From what i can tell, a good neon tube that is max length that can fit will do the trick for you. You can see that even the vents around the benz star glow red from my little neon tube. If neon is not for you, then perhaps you cam mount the LEDs a little deeper into the engine bay, to get rid of the spot lights. or perhaps mount them onto a panel, say a flexible aluminum pannel that you can mount slightly higher and out of site. Hope it helps http://www.youtube.com/v/Q6yCaH1OLeM http://www.youtube.com/v/C9OKD55V5os http://www.youtube.com/v/HIrTOTkbqms http://www.youtube.com/v/mEyZ1v0YnRw

For a short neon tube the result is really good. Thank you so much for trying it for me. Next time I visit the shop I will get one of them for sure. It wont be till next month but I will try it. I saw yellow leds for side vents on ebay but could not find them in the markets here. Maybe my next mod will be side yellow leds...
