Default removable front plate.

This is what i did with my front plate bracket so i can put it on and off as i like, securely, with no marks.

I put cut apart some 3M command Hooks and glued the hooks onto the back of the bracket, and then used the tape thingy that comes with it to tape it to my bumper. I ran heavy weather insulation around the top where the bracket normally contacts the bumper so it wouldn't scuff. See pictures. if you want to do this, remember to keep all the hooks aligned, this way you can still unclip it.

This should be readily apparent if you have ever used these hooks before, but feel free to post any questions.

it helps to have an assistant...make sure they don't chew on the hooks when you aren't looking!

I am sorry but ı am not familiar with that hooks. Can you explain a little bit more? Better put some photos of your car with the plate on and off... If it leaves no marks on the bumper it is the best plate mod I have ever seen....
Thanks for sharing

Check out these bumper plugs to cover the hole using the colormatched paint. They are reusable and just pop into place.

Here's a Z3 with the plugs in

I just ordered a pair of black ones for my SLK. I'll post pics when I get them!

The bumper plugs are not bad, but are still quite noticable.
