|  Audio Upgrade Hey folks, I want to upgrade my Audio system (sadly, its the Audio20) - I want to get a Kenwood screen system - is it possible to replace the audio head unit or is it not possible? I also want to upgrade the speakers I also have the mobile phone so I'm not sure if it's possible... Thanks Mishal |

| Yeah, you can get any double or single DIN system. You'll lose all of your phone integration and steering wheel controls. There are brackets for double or single DIN now available for the SLK. The speakers on the Audio20 setup are very custom. You're looking at a weird 8"/3.5"/1" 3-way setup with very limited mounting depth on the 8". Center channel and rears are basically useless. Do a search for pics of my install. |

| hey mishal, I did something similar to what you wanted to do, I switched the Audio20 out for a Clarion headunit and I also installed a Parrot Bluetooth kit for the mobile phone. | Ghost, great post and pictures. Your attention to detail in the install is superb. I did notice one problem however, your car is assembled backward, they must have built it during Octoberfest cause they put tha turnin wheel on the passengers side. A good dealer would have noticed that and fixed it before you bought it.. I would not trust that dealer again for anything...... :bigla ugh: |
