MAGNIFICENT WORK. Very professional. A work of art.
I can see why it took some time to assemble the Kleyman 1, 3rd Brake Light Flasher Module v1.5.
Just one quick question. On what panel are the two silver pins located (between which the resistor assembly would be attached)? I haven't had the chance to open the black plastic panel, I guess this should be self-evident when the panel is removed.

Thanks everyone.
I guess i didn't make that clear if you are just reading the instrucitons and not installing. Once you open the rear panel, the 2 silver pins are actually the mounting spots for your license plate on the ouside of the trunk lid. Can't miss them.
There is very little room behind the panel, and the spot where to attach the resistor is smack in the middle away from everything.
nr4l, you did such a great job on the directions. i am going to go through this whole thread and see if i missed any videos. i see the standard and the burst. do you plan on attaching any new vids based on the 5 switch positions? Thanks
question concerning service mode:
by default strobe burst no repeat is on. the blue dial is then at what position? full clockwise or full counter clockwise? in other words, if i want to go to service mode immediately, other than flipping 2 off and 3 on do i have to move the blue dial at all if i never have used flash? thanks

Thanks jbanks15,
I'm not sure if those videos are still active, but i am trying to figure out how to put together an animated .gif pic, so it will be easy to download and host long term.
you probably missed my question. hope it is not confusing:

Sorry about that. Don't know where my head is this morning.
The blue dial is in "middle" position by default. So in order to go directly to service mode, you would need to flip 2 off, 3 on and turn the dial clockwise till the end.
Just to clear things up. The blue dial controls the rate of flashes during the "flashing" modes and "Constant Blinking". Not strobe burst. By selecting 2 off, 3 on, you are going into "Constant Blinking" mode, and by turning the blue dail, you are actually increasing the rate of the blinks to a point where it is constantly on.
Also, i just wanted to add that you can feel free to play with the various modes as much as you like. No need to power the car off either. Just lay off the brake and make adjust the settings, then test, and repeat if you like.
Fantastic instructions mate. Very professional. Have you not got some macroflash software? it should be quite easy to create a little example of the various modes in falsh.

Thanks for the tip easty.
Will be looking into that.
If I also install LEDs for the license plate, will the car be affected due to the 3 resistors that will be installed? Forgive me about this if I'm wrong but I haven't performed such action before.

noregret4life,
I was thinking instead of using a resistor to fake out the computer. How about a small 12v light bulb attached across from +12 and gnd? it will a lot less heat generated. I did that to fake out a Bimmer for my friend's aftermarket HID . I tried it last night and it worked on the my 05 slk...
