Just fitted a BMW (cough) Int light.
Plug and aperature the same. Wiring needed to be swapped due to +ve switching on BMW and -ve switching on MB.

Nice Spot lights now

Interesting find. How did you determine they were basically the same assembly and would fit? Did you purchase new or used and what was the cost? Inquiring minds want to know!

Default Interior Light

The interior light does not light when the doors are opened, however I can operate the light manually. Any thoughts?

How do you switch the +ve BMW and -ve MB wires? It is amazing how some of these parts can be swapped successfully between different makes and models -simply brilliant mod.

I would love to incorporate this mod on mine, so I don't have to light up the whole interior (and loose my night vision temporarily) when my better half wants to apply her lipstick or look at directions on a map.

Now all you need is a big bmw emblem on your hood instead of a benz. I would think that less of an offense, as it doesnt actually operate, so it cant be BETTER then oem mercedes parts, unlike your lights *tear*

haha very creative tho....
