Cool my slk320. with wheel/tire/suspension mod.. (56K better upgrade)

full specs in my sig, just thaught id shoot out some pics...some tips on this.

H&R springs and #1 pads up front are as low as it gets, I also had to REALLY ROLL my fenders to clear this setup, rubbing was out of this world before rolling the fenders...

on the other hand, the back is probably as low as it can be to drive it around hard as im showing some minimal rub in the inner wheel well, wich my shop hammered in with some special hammer and rubbing stopped, I coudnt even hear it, but we saw it with car up in the air...

The ride of the car is awsome, im inlove, it drives like a TRUE sports car, I now cruise at 100-115 on the highway and the car just goes straight, its amazing that I can literally throw the car around at 80-90mph and it will feel VERY solid and capable, something that I did not feel good doing before, specially at speeds over 100. cant way to get my H&R sways in.

Its a comfy-enough ride for everyday driving, may be to harsh for some people, but my 55 year old sport-car oriented father rides in it with no problem what so ever...mind you I have my KONIS set to the softest setting and we have VERY good roads in south FL......

I AM planning to swap the front pads out for #2s...which are 5mm bigger in order to get some extra clearance(for the track) and balance the car out with the back a little more.....

feel free to ask me any question or throw any comment / suggestion.

Very nice. I like that chrome grill better than the original black tin. I really like my SLK 350 now better than my R170, but yours really looks nice. Good job!

I have to agree, makes me want to lower my SLK more. It looks mean. I'm not a fan of the r170 but your SLK and tungster's really shows the potential of the r170.

Great looking R170. I think the first pic looks great. From the side, you can tell the front is a little lower than the rear. I think the larger pad will level it out like you mentioned. Good plan. Well done.
