Are you talking about the Y-Pipe intake on top of the motor? Not sure if the 230 or 320 has it?? I installed the SL55 Y-Pipe intake which fits perfectly and I believe its 10 - 12 hp increase at the wheels.

| Have you got green filters fitted Tungsta? Just wondered if you thought they are worth getting fitted. 10-12 bhp extra by increasing the Y pipe is a good and simple upgrade, did you get the bhp tested before and after? I have had a remap done on my 32 and it gave an extra 35bhp, the same company say they can increase that again to 430bhp with changing supercharger pulleys and a few other upgrades. Have you had any other performance upgrades done to yours? Also how long did your wing door conversion take and is it worth it? To be honest i love the SLK 32 AMG, they just dont do a car like it in the R171 models, so i am going down the same route as a lot of people and i am planning to do a lot of ugrades to the interior, because the car shape looks dated at the moment. I am only just getting started, but am planning to modify the whole car, already had the grill done in CLK style. I like the look of the back end of the car, so it mainly a face lift that it needs, i would like any good ideas or advice, i will start posting pictures on a new thread as i get going with the modifications. |

| Urb.....Go to my garage on this site and you'll see a list of everything that I have had done. When I got the Y-pipe it came with Green filters so YES I have them. The door have been every bit worth it. It took them 4 days to put both hinges on because every time they made a tweak they had to take off the front quarter panel so it took them a while to line it up but the alignment is perfect and still is a year and a half later.
